Grand County, Colo. – Located 67 miles from Denver, is home to four distinctively different golf courses, all within 25 miles of each other, giving golfers a variety of terrain and challenging layouts, all framed with spectacular mountain views. Three of the courses have news to share.
Pole Creek Golf Course, located 12 miles north of Winter Park, was named the number one Mountain Golf Course by “Colorado Avid Golfer” magazine and also earned the magazine’s Reader’s Choice Caggy Award. It is the only Colorado course to be listed in the top golf courses in the nation by Golf Advisor.
Grand Elk Club, located south of Granby, has announced Larry Burks as the new general manager. Burk brings more than 30 years of experience to the course. He was the previous general manager at Pole Creek Golf Course and Grand Lake Golf Course.
Granby Ranch, located next to the town of Granby, has announced Jeff Wilcinski as its new PGA head professional. Wilcinski previously worked at Rancho Canada Golf Club and Coeur d’Alene Resort Golf Course.
The ranch’s PGA Sports Academy Junior Camp is scheduled for June 18-21 and July 16-20. The camp helps youth learn to play golf and includes five focus areas that help them learn, develop and practice their skills to become better golfers.
