New Victoria, BC Activities and Tours Announced by V2V Vacations to Launch its 2019 Season
Experience the best of Victoria and the most comfortable seat at sea. Quintessential adventures crafted by newly appointed product manager Lauren Travan
To launch its 2019 season starting March 15, V2V Vacations, the premium cruise experience connecting downtown Vancouver and downtown Victoria, announces a new selection of tour and experience options to delight guests, from foodies and active types, to garden enthusiasts and history buffs.
New to the team is product manager Lauren Travan who played a key role in developing the exciting new offers, including ‘Sail & Fly’ which combines modern high-speed catamaran travel with V2V one way, and a charming ride on an iconic seaplane with Harbour Air the other. The new tour highlights are available now to be booked on the website, and include classic must-sees like the world-famous Butchart Gardens, Victoria sightseeing, high tea at the majestic Fairmont Empress Hotel, Beacon Hill Park horse-drawn carriage rides, and admission to the nationally top-rated Royal BC Museum.
When guests book their scenic journey aboard the V2V Empress catamaran, it is easy to add on tours and experiences to make the most of their time visiting stunning Victoria in a day.
“At V2V, we make each voyage more than just convenient, comfortable and carefree,” says Julian Wright, General Manager of V2V Vacations. “We create opportunities to truly experience this beautiful part of the world in a host of ways tailored to popular interests and by tapping our local insight to create unique memories.
All options are an extension of our downtown to downtown service by choosing day trips and activities curated by our new product manager Lauren. We are excited to start our 2019 season and to once again welcome guests from all over the world.”
The full roster of new day trips and activities offered in Victoria by V2V is as follows:
Guests can combine their sea voyage with a one-hour stop at national historic site Craigdarroch Castle, and a guided tour through Victoria’s intriguing downtown including Canada’s oldest Chinatown. Food lovers can walk the city enjoying up to eight delectable tastings along the way picking up local insights from chefs and proprietors. Have a thirst for something new? Brewery and Distillery Tour guests enjoy an afternoon sampling of Victoria’s craft beers and small batch spirits. While those who opt for ‘The Castle, Hoods & Legends Cycling Tour’ cruise through Victoria’s historic, unique, and funky neighbourhoods by bike.
The travel time aboard the V2V Empress, less than three hours and thirty minutes between Vancouver and Victoria, offers a more time-efficient and comfortable alternative to the car ferry that operates from outside both cities. Onboard, V2V offers two stylish seating classes, an impressive selection of local BC cuisine, wine and crafts beer, and sundeck access for a spectacular 360-degree view perfect for wildlife watching.
During high-season, between April 16 and September 30, the journey to Vancouver aboard the 242-passenger catamaran is a sunset cruise that captures the city’s perfect skyline and summer evening activity along the city’s famous Stanley Park Seawall.
The only ferry service that transports passengers directly from the heart of Vancouver into Victoria’s historic Inner Harbour, the extension of V2V’s offering to include tours and experiences further positions V2V Vacations as the premium cruise option between the two cities.
